Was Velociraptor a Cannibal?

A specimen of Velociraptor was found that contained on the roof of the skull, a row of parallel holes. The holes matched the size and spacing of teeth in the upper jaw of another Velociraptor. The tooth punctures must have killed the animal because they went through the skull and would have entered brain tissue. There wasn't much sign of scavenging on the other bones which means that the animal was likely the loser in a fight and didn't recieve the puncture marks after its death. The fight may have been for territory gain or for the right to mate with a female. Although there is no direct evidence of cannibalism in Velociraptors, it has been observed in other theropods.
