New Zealand has been isolated for more
than 80 000 years. This has caused it to have a unique fauna and flora. Many of
the species found here can be found nowhere else. Due to its lack of mammals
(except for the bat) as well as it's lack of ground predators, the native creatures
have had to adapt to this unusual enviroment.
