Diceratops
-described by
Lull, 1905 (Dodson, 1996). Its name means "two-horned
face". It has a large skull, about 2m long, but it is oddly
short faced with a very weak, blunt nasal horn core
(described by Lull to be missing). Its large brow horns are
nearly vertical. The squamosals on the side of the frill are
pierced with large openings, and the thin parietal appears
to contain only small fenestrae (Dodson, 1996). As the skull
is quite unusual, it is highly controversial as to whether
or not Diceratops is a real genus, or rather a
subgenus ofTriceratops (Dodson, 1996).
