Boulder Corals. Growth form is mound-like or flattened.

Porites astreoides:

Porous or Lumpy Coral. Ochre colouredwith a usually lumpy appearance. Cups occur up to 1-1.5 mm in diameter and are inconspicious in the field. A common coral of both reefs and inshore rocky areas, this coral usually contains a number of overgrown specimens of the barnacle Ceratoconcha.
